    The green open slide is out of service until further notice. The white enclosed slide is still in use.

  2. New Goodman Pool Rule Starts July 17

    New Goodman Pool Rule: Starting Thursday, July 17, all children aged 11-15 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult aged 18 years or older, with proof of age. 

Scholarships

Goodman Pool is a place for everyone regardless of financial circumstances. We are proud to offer general admission scholarships thanks to the generous donation of the Madison Parks Foundation. 

Lesson fee assistance is offered by Madison School & Community Recreation (MSCR). See MSCR Fee Assistance for more information. 

Admission Scholarship Guidelines & Information

  1. Scholarship money is available to families with youth 17 years and younger who qualify for free or reduced lunch per the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD) guidelines.
    • If the applicant does not qualify for free or reduced lunches per the MMSD, the applicant must submit an email request that includes your name, address, scholarship request, and explanation of need.
  2. Scholarship recipients must be residents of the city of Madison or actively enrolled in the Madison Metropolitan School District.
  3. Madison Parks reserves the right to verify all information provided on the application form, and to grant, deny, or revoke any scholarship.
  4. All information provided on the scholarship form is kept confidential.
  5. Season Pass scholarships are available. We no longer offer daily admission scholarships.
  6. We are now paperless; all applications must be submitted online.

To Apply for an Individual or Family Admissions Scholarship 

  1. Click Apply Online
    1. This will redirect you from the Goodman Pool website
  2. Sign in or create an account
    1. If you do not already have an account, you will need to create one, including a profile of everyone in the household receiving a pass.
  3. Choose the Admission Scholarship for individuals or Family Season Passes Admission Scholarship for Families.
  4. Follow the online steps. 

What happens next after completing and submitting the online form? 

  • You will receive an email letting you know your application was received.
  • Closer to June, you will receive an email letting you know that your admission pass is ready for pick up from Parks Lakeside Offices, 330 E Lakeside St., Madison, WI 53715 between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30pm Monday - Friday. You will be able to pick up your passes after the email notification until June 11.
  • On or after June 12, you may pick up your pass(es) at Goodman Pool, 325 W. Olin Ave., Madison, WI 53715, during regular open recreation swim hours.  
  • Each person in your group will receive a physical card, good for unlimited visits throughout the 2025 season, for that person.
