The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

05/02

EAST: Violation of Court Order – 6:34 am. The victim reported that the 48-year-old male suspect attempted to contact her despite being prohibited from doing so. The suspect was charged with violating the restraining order.

CITY-WIDE: Special Event – 9:00 am. Officers monitored student marches from West and East High Schools. No issues were reported.

EAST: Runaway Juvenile – 9:03 am. The grandmother of a 14-year-old boy reported he did not show up to school. The juvenile was listed as missing and an ATL was aired.

MIDTOWN: Disturbance – 10:47 am. Officers responded to a local hospital where a patient became combative with hospital staff. Staff told police they did not wish to pursue a complaint. Officers consulted with Journey Mental Health before disengaging.

MIDTOWN: OMVWI – 1:18 pm. An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving poorly. The 33-year-old female driver performed poorly on SFSTs and was arrested for OWI 1st, possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

EAST: Adult Arrested Person – 4:07 pm. Officers located a wanted 32-year-old male suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect was booked into the jail.

EAST: Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 8:42 pm. Officers located a stolen vehicle in the 2000 block of Zeier Rd. The registered owner was contacted.

MIDTOWN: Sexual Assault – 8:57 pm. Officers responded to a hospital where a victim wished to report that a known suspect sexually assaulted her. Investigation continuing.

WEST: Runaway Juvenile – 9:54 pm. The mother of a 15-year-old boy wished to report him missing. The juvenile was listed as missing and an ATL was aired.

CITY-WIDE: Assist Police – 1:47 am. Madison officers assisted Fitchburg PD with an investigation into a stabbing at Monkeyshines bar. Officers checked Madison addresses for a possible suspect.
