Hello!

 

My name is Paige Valenta. I am the new Captain of the South Police District.

 

I grew up in the Madison area, and have been with the City of Madison Police Department for more than 20 years. Several of those years were as a patrol officer and a community policing team officer in the South Police District. In many ways, returning to the South Police District is like coming home for me. I am looking forward to renewing relationships, and keeping the area a safe and fun place to live and work. 

 

I have already been to a few events in the area: the re- opening of Penn Park, the ceremonial ground breaking for the Goodman South Campus of Madison College, and the Juneteenth celebration. I look forward to attending many more events and to meeting more people.
