High Speed Pursuit Throughout Near West Side....

April 21, 2014 4:34 PM

This afternoon Madison Police officers were involved in a high speed pursuit of a subject wanted on an outstanding felony warrant.   The suspect vehicle was first observed in the area of 2500 Chamberlin Avenue and the pursuit continued for several minutes throughout the near west and eventually southwest sides of Madison.   Madison officers terminated the pursuit once the vehicle entered the King James Way neighbohhood in Fitchburg.   A few moments later, local residents contacted officers in the area who pointed out the now abandoned suspect vehicle which officer had been pursuing.

After establishing a perimeter in the area, officers were able to locate and arrest two indfividuals from the fleeing vehicle.  One of them is believed to be the subject wanted on the felony warrants.   There are believed to be no injuries at this time.  Officers are still investigating.   Identities of the subjects and more information will be released on Tuesday.
