Packers Avenue Closure for Railroad Crossing Replacement Begins October 27: Starting at 6:00am on Monday, October 27, Packers Avenue (STH 113) will be closed to all traffic at the railroad tracks just north of International Lane to allow CPKC Railroad to replace the deteriorating railroad crossing. I want to shout out everyone who called or emailed me about this railroad issue and everyone who was so diligent with reaching out to the city. This was definitely a group effort and would have been much harder for me to press if there wasn't such input from the community. I want to thank everyone who played a part in making this happen!

I also want to thank city staff for doing the hard work of coordinating with the railroad and the Office of the Commissioner of Railroads!
