Imagination Center at Reindahl Park is Moving Forward!

Last night, the council approved the operating plan (Legistar 69360) for the Imagination Center at Reindahl park. This clears the path for the design to be finalized in 2022 and construction to begin in 2023 with an expected opening in the latter half of 2024. 

I am very grateful for the tireless work of Director Mickells and his team, Superintendent Knepp and his team, as well as the strong outpouring of our community coming together.

The Imagination Center at Reindahl Park will be a crown jewel for our neighborhoods.

• It will be a safe place for our children and young people to learn about what their passions and talents are.
   
• It will be a place where local non-profit organizations can gather and provide services to our historically marginalized communities. Services that include educational opportunities around the topics of housing, employment, finances, technology, and more.
   
• It will be a place where our selfless neighborhood heroes can distribute food to those who most need it instead of trying to facilitate that from their garages.
   
• It will be a place where we can demonstrate new ways to bring city services to the heart of neighborhoods through cost saving virtual interactions.
