System Upgrade

Our permit and complaint system is being upgraded. The system is expected to be unavailable from Thursday, July 23 at 4:30pm until Monday, July 27 at 6:00am.

Scales

Any business or individual using a scale* for retail transactions must be licensed. Every scale is inspected and charged a fee annually. See the license application for specific fees.

Scales must be NTEP approved (legal for trade), suitable for their intended use, and comply with NIST Handbook 44.  

*Vehicle scales and large capacity scales are regulated by DATCP.
