  • City Budget Engagement | Public Facilities & Services, Thursday, June 11Learn more about the City of Madison budget process and get your questions answered during budget engagement sessions planned across Madison. This session focuses on Public Facilities & Services. This is the second of three engagement sessions and will take place in District 19 at Vel Phillips Memorial High School at 6 p.m. I will arrive late at the meeting after the June 11 Plan Commission Meeting.
  • Bird & Nature Adventures | Owen, Saturday, June 13: Explore Owen Conservation Park on gentle trails through historic oak openings on a hillside with an Ice Age kettle and along restored prairies with beautiful vistas on this high point overlooking the west side of Madison.
  • District 19 Items at June 9 Common Council Meeting: There are six items that directly impact District 19.
    • Item 106 (Legistar 93172) is for accepting the paving work completed by private contract in University Research Park.
    • Item 108 (Legistar 93174) is for approval of the plans and specifications of the public improvements to be undertaken by the private developer of 5542 Medical Circle and 5559 Odana Rd.
    • Item 115 (Legistar 93201) is for approving a $1.7 million contract for chip sealing of streets in 2026. A majority of the streets in District 19 will be chip sealed this year as noted in the contract 8835 project map.
    • Item 121 (Legistar 93207) is for approving a contract for street resurfacing, including a section of Research Park Blvd in District 19 as noted in the contract 8832 project map.
    • Item 134 (Legistar 93149) is for approval of $2.0 million in tax incremental financing support for 227 affordable housing units in the project at 5542 Medical Circle and 5559 Odana Rd.
    • Item 135 (Legistar 93150) is for approval of $2.9 million in tax incremental financing support for 302 affordable housing units in the project at 6518 and 6526 Grand Teton Plaza.
  • District 19 Items at June 19 Board of Public Works: There are two items that directly impact District 19.
    • Item 7 (Legistar 93462) is for approval of a change order for electronics for the East-West BRT including work in District 19 resulting in no net cost to the City.
    • Item 18 (Legistar 93395) is for approval of the 2026 park playground equipment program including new equipment at Marshall Park.
