
Voting Info, Office Hours and Highlights for the Week of November 7, 2022

Polls are open from 7am until 8pm.
As a reminder: Due to redistricting, ward numbers changed in early 2022.

Here are the voting locations for Tuesday:

If your polling location changed, you should have received a postcard. To be safe, you can verify your voting location at https://www.cityofmadison.com/clerk/where-do-i-vote
If you've moved, you can register at the polls on Tuesday - you'll need to bring documents for proof of residency.
If you have an absentee ballot for the Nov. 8 election, it is too late to mail it back. Please take yours to a ballot drop off site or you can take it to your polling place on Tuesday. Most drop off sites are no longer available.
November Office Hours on Thursday MorningI will be hosting office hours on Thursday (11/10) from 7:30am to 9:30am. Come talk to me about the budget, running for Alder or any other questions or concerns. I will be using Zoom (with video): REGISTER

Note: I have set it up so I can only meet one person at a time. If I'm meeting with someone else, there will be a small waiting period in a meeting lobby. If you don't want to use Zoom, I will be answering calls (608-912-0000) during this time as long as I'm not speaking with someone else.

Several D19 Projects at Monday's Plan Commission Meeting
On Monday, November 7th at 5:30pm, the following projects will be at the Plan Commission Meeting:
- 5122 Spring Court - Conditional Use: Construct addition to single-family residence on lakefront parcel
- 5706 Lake Mendota Drive - Conditional Use: Construct accessory building on lakefront parcel
- 5710 Mineral Point Road - CUNA Mutual Group - Demolition Permit: Demolish office building
- 6706-6714 Odana Road (Demo Permit | New Building Application) - Demolition Permit, Conditional Use & Certified Survey Map Referral: Demolish two commercial buildings to construct four-story mixed-use building with approx. 4,800 sq. ft. of commercial space and 124 apartments on one lot
On Wednesday, November 9, Metro Transit and the City of Madison Transportation Commission will hold a virtual public hearing at 6 PM to approve several items related to Metro's redesigned service in 2023 including:
- Equity Analysis Summary
- Equity Analysis Full Report
- Bus Stop Placements: Stops to Close// New Stops // Maps
- Route Start/End Times
- Route Name Updates
- DRAFT System Map
- A number of these items have also been translated into alternate languages and are available here.

City Offers New Funding for Community Facilities Loan Program - A new City of Madison funding program aimed at helping non-profits strengthen and vitalize City neighborhoods is underway.
- Transportation Demand Management Ordinance: On November 1, a proposed Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Ordinance was introduced to the Common Council. TDM focuses on shifting travel to sustainable transportation options such as transit, rideshare, biking, and walking. The TDM website provides a summary of the program and objectives. A brief description of the TDM program can be seen at 1:33 into the video of the August 15 TPPB meeting.
- Streets Division updates:
- Fall yard waste collection is in the home stretch. You only have one or two chances for curbside yard waste pickup yet this fall. Don't miss out! Get the dates when you should put yard waste out for your home at www.cityofmadison.com/YardWaste
- Drop-off sites hours and locations will be changing at the end of November. Before loading your vehicle, be sure you are aware of the hours of where you are going to take yard waste, electronics, and other items. The drop-off site website is www.cityofmadison.com/DropOffSites

COVID vaccination clinic: A free COVID vaccination clinic will be held at Community Development Authority West, Romnes Apartments (540 W. Olin Avenue), on Thursday, November 10, from 12:30pm-4:30pm.
