Community Outreach and Resource Education (CORE)

Who We Are and What We Do
- CORE is comprised of a Captain, a Lieutenant, a sergeant and eight police officers.
- The group aims to enhance our department's efforts to reduce disproportionate arrests related to racial disparities.
- It improves trust and perception of fairness through procedural justice, community outreach, education, and problem-solving.
- CORE breaks down barriers between youth in our community and police.
- It creates and expands programs which aims to divert youth from the criminal justice system.
- CORE seeks solutions to social and community issues.
- The group organizes and implements our youth academies, community academy, and other community events.
