Meeting and Event Highlights for the Week of June 28, 2021

Last week, the City presented an update at a Public Information Session regarding Madison's Community Alternative Response Emergency Services (C.A.R.E.S.) initiative. If you missed the opportunity to attend, the session was recorded for you to view at your leisure.  Follow up questions or concerns may directed to Deputy Mayor Reuben Sanon at

I am so proud of this program, and the potential to change and even save lives here in the Madison area. Community Paramedics have been hired by Madison Fire, and Crisis Workers have been hired by Journey. Both groups are currently going through training, and we are projecting that we will be able to start this pilot as soon as August! If you'd like to talk more about the reasoning regarding beginning a program like this, please feel to email or call me!

Now, onto this week's events!
