And just like that, winter returns. Streets Division plows will be responding to the snowstorm. All roadway users should expect very slick road conditions during the overnight hours and into the Monday morning commute.
Metro Transit Network Redesign: Meetings and survey
If you missed Metro Transit's citywide community meeting on the Transit Network Redesign, you can view a recording.
There will also be a virtual meeting focused on the east side at a later date. I will share the details of that meeting as soon as they are confirmed.
Take the Network Redesign Draft Plan Survey
Over the next few months, staff will be analyzing feedback on Metro's Network Redesign Draft Plan and making adjustments. Survey will be available until the end of April.

City of Madison Public Meeting: Madison Police Department Proposal for Body Worn Camera Pilot Program

Virtual presentation by Chief Shon Barnes followed by questions and comments
Attendees will have the opportunity to make a statement at the meeting or they can prepare and email written statements to the MPD via MPDPIO@cityofmadison.com as well. Public comment will be recorded and written statements collected. Public comment at the meeting is limited to 3 minutes per speaker.
Madison Police and Fire Commission invites feedback on Fire Chief finalists
The Board of Police and Fire Commissioners (PFC) for the City of Madison is soliciting input from the public regarding the hiring of a new Fire Chief.
Information on the four finalists is available at www.cityofmadison.com/PFC. Video statements from each candidate will be available at the same site on Thursday, March 10 after the final interviews have been conducted.
City meetings of interest this week
Plan to end homelessness
The City-County Homeless Issues Committee will be receiving a presentation on the development of Madison/Dane County's Plan to End Homelessness, as well as updates on Housing Forward and the men's shelter at its meeting on Monday.
CARES Unit and Vision Zero
The Public Safety Review Committee will receive an update on the CARES unit from the Madison Fire Department, as well as a discussion on adopting the Vision Zero Action Plan, at its meeting on Wednesday.
Transit Network Redesign, truth and reconciliation, and housing issues
The Equal Opportunities Commission will be receiving a presentation on the transit network redesign process, discussing a proposed truth and reconciliation process, and discussing housing issues at its meeting on Thursday.
Madison Fire Chief hiring process
The Police and Fire Commission is meeting on Friday to discuss and possibly make recommendations on the MFD Chief hiring process.
