    The FBI has warned that scammers are pretending to be city officials to request payments for planning and zoning permits. We're aware of phishing attempts following this scam in Madison.

Additions

You need permits for additions to one and two family homes. The requirements depend on the scope of your project.

If you own and occupy your home, you can apply for all permits. If not, licensed professionals must apply for the permits. All construction must follow state codes. We bill fees based on the new square footage you are adding.
