The North Area is an established community shaped by a diverse mix of residents, businesses, and destinations like Warner Park and the Northside Town Center. 

 

 

North Area Kickoff Meetings

Join us for a kickoff meeting! Choose the meeting option that works best for you. There will be two virtual sessions and one in-person open house so you can learn more, ask questions, and share your thoughts. 

  • Virtual Meeting #1 - Monday, November 9, 12:00 - 1:00pm
  • In-Person Open House - Monday November 16, 6:30 - 8:00pm 
    • Warner Park Community Recreation Center, 1625 Northport Drive.
    • Stop by, explore the information at your own pace, and hear a short presentation at 6:45pm. 
  • Virtual Meeting #2 - Tuesday, November 17, 6:00 - 7:00pm 

All three meetings will include the same brief presentation and opportunity to ask questions. The virtual meeting will be recorded. Meeting materials will be available after the meetings.

      • Walk of commercial areas to talk with businesses, hear concerns, and share resources. 

  2. Identifying Issues and Opportunities

    Understand community priorities, assets, concerns, and opportunities.

  3. Initial Draft Actions

    Draft initial draft actions based on community input.

  4. Plan Review and Approval

    Complete draft plan and submit final draft plan for review and adoption.

The North Area is generally bounded by the Yahara River and Cherokee Marsh to the north, Dane County Regional Airport to the east, Aberg Avenue and Maple Bluff to the south, and Lake Mendota to the west.
