Latinx Community Engagement Team (LCET)

The City of Madison Latinx Community Engagement Team (LCET) is a voluntary, employee-led affinity group.  Originally formed in 2015 as the Latino Community Engagement Team, our team is comprised of city staff.  The majority of our team members are bilingual in Spanish and English.  We work to support the work of city agencies to build trust and strong relationships with Spanish-speakers and members of the Latinx community who live and work in the City of Madison.  With this in mind, we are working to make the city a welcoming place where a high quality of life is available and accessible to all Latinx people.  Our ongoing collaboration will support city agencies when providing services, opportunities, and advocacy to this group.

We also foster an affinity space for Latinx and/or Spanish speaking staff and work to build community in the workplace.

Meetings

The Latinx Community Engagement Team (LCET) typically meets the second Tuesday of each month (virtually or in person) from 11:30am-12:30pm.

How to Join

Please contact Erin Nuñez if you would like to join.  Everyone is welcome.

Please also reach out if your agency or project can benefit from assistance engaging with the Latinx community; we may be able to help.

Chairperson
