Pay for a single-ride $2.00 adult fare using contactless Mastercard, Visa, or Samsung, Apple, and Google virtual wallets—right on the bus!

  • Works just like a Fast Fare card and includes multiple-ride discounts.
  • Tap your card or virtual wallet device at the bottom of the fare reader (on the right, when the reader is positioned horizontally).
  • Accepting Mastercard and Visa (credit or debit cards), and virtual wallets (Samsung, Apple, and Google).
  • All other credit card networks, such as American Express and Discover, are currently not accepted.

Benefits of Using the Same Credit Card or Virtual Wallet

Enjoy multiple-ride discounts, including 2-hour transfers and fare capping by using the same credit or debit card each time you board.

  • You must use the same physical card or the same virtual wallet card to receive multiple-ride discounts.
  • You cannot use your physical card at one time, then a virtual wallet card the next.
  • Multiple-ride discounts are tracked automatically by individual payment method (physical card or virtual wallet card).

Multiple-Ride Discounts

2-Hour Transfers

Tap the same physical card or the same virtual wallet card every time you ride. You'll receive an automatic 2-hour transfer for your connecting ride. You won't be charged within the 2-hour transfer window.

Fare Capping

For frequent riders, the more you ride each day or week, Metro offers a “cap” price, and will no longer charge you for the fare for the rest of that day or for the rest of that week once the card reaches the cap.

The most a regular adult fare will be on any day is $5.00, the most in any week is $16.25, and the most in a month is $65.00.
