Temporary Land Use

Typical permits examples may be for a private contractor or private property owner to use public lands for access to other private property.  Another example may be for short-term use of land for a booth or tent.  This permit does not replace other permits for vending, reservations, catering, etc.  See Madison General Ordinance, Chapter 8 for more information.

Permits may be applied for online by visiting the City's Licenses and Permits website and selecting the following:

  • Permitting
  • Apply for a Permit
  • Select a Permit Type (Temporary Land Use)
