Affinity Groups
Affinity groups are employee-led groups focused on social identities, marginalized groups, and life experiences. You can attend meetings during work time with approval from your supervisor.

- BIPOC Care Team
This group explores and identifies ways to engage in individual and collective wellness, healing, and care of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) City staff.
- Disability Resource Group
Celebrates diversity and discusses issues and challenges facing Disabled staff/staff with disabilities.
- Gender Equity Team
Works to foster a more equitable workplace for employees of the City of Madison, regardless of gender and identity.
- Latinx Community Engagement Team
Helps the City build trust and relationships with Spanish-speakers and members of the Latinx community. All members are bilingual in Spanish.
- LGBTQIA+ Social
Connects, supports, and celebrates LGBTQIA+ staff. Membership is open to anyone who identifies under the queer and LGBTQIA+ umbrellas (including questioning).
- Multicultural Affairs Committee
Seeks to foster a diverse and culturally inclusive workplace aligned with the City’s mission and values.
