My name is Mike Malloy and I have been a Madison Police Officer for just over three years. I have spent my time at MPD assigned to work the overnight patrol, mostly in the central district. Prior to becoming a Madison Police Officer, I was a police officer at Kansas State University where I earned my masters in College Student Development.
I grew up in Madison and am thrilled to be back living and working in the city. My favorite part about the job is the people; both my colleagues and the citizens. My beat includes State St and Langdon St, which means it's the one part of the city that doesn't sleep at night. If you are out on the town and see me "walking the beat" make sure to say hi!
When I'm not at work I enjoy snowboarding, fishing and playing trivia with friends. I also enjoy spending time with family, including my father who retired from MPD 11 years ago.
