Prevention Tip of the Week!

August 4, 2015 1:48 PM

The Madison Police Department Crime Prevention Safety Tip of the week.

Wednesday, April 15th is long past us but this scam keeps showing up.

This week we have seen an increase in the IRS scam.

In this scam a voicemail message is left for you to call back the IRS at a specific phone number.  The two reported scam numbers this week are 509-872-5226 and 509-295-4349.

Remember the IRS would never request personal information from you over the phone.

If you have questions about crime prevention contact, Madison Police Department Crime Prevention Coordinator Rodney Wilson at rwilson@cityofmadison.com or call 266-4238.
