Child and Youth Funding

The Community Services Committee finalized its recommendations Wednesday night regarding the allocation of funds for 2020 for School-Age Child and Youth Programs.

Please note that the Committee's recommendations reflect a total allocation of $254,987 for School-Age Child and Youth Programs for 2020.  That figure is $97,000 higher than the $157,987 currently authorized in the Community Development Division's 2019 budget.  Thus, it presumes that additional funding will be provided to support these programs in the City's 2020 budget.  The Community Development Division requested that increase last month in the budget recommendations it submitted to Mayor Rhodes-Conway.  The Mayor is currently considering the request as she prepares to present her executive budget to the Common Council.  Final budget decisions will be made later this year.
