Preventative Maintenance Program
The Facilities Section takes care of more than 40 buildings for City agencies, like Fire, Police, Fleet Maintenance, Streets, and Parking Utility. There are over 2600 pieces of equipment in these buildings that get regular check-ups. Each type of equipment has its own list of tasks to keep it running well.
The maintenance tasks can be simple, like changing air filters, or more complex, like checking heating systems to ensure they work safely. These regular checks help the equipment last longer and reduce the chances of it breaking down. When the equipment in their building works properly, people can focus better on their jobs.
