Paratransit Safe DriversThe Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990 requires public transit agencies to provide paratransit service to persons with disabilities who cannot access the public transit system due to their disability.

Paratransit service complements the same area and hours of the city bus system. Riders must fill out an application and be a registered paratransit rider to use this service.

Dress Warmly and Plan Ahead!

Extreme winter temperatures may cause delays in paratransit service, so please plan ahead and allow extra time for travel. Also, remember to dress for winter temperatures. Vehicles may become cold during the loading and unloading process.

If you need to update a standing ride or cancel a trip request, please call our Customer Service Center at 266-4466 as soon as possible.

Join the ADA Transit Subcommittee - Immediate Vacancies

The City of Madison's ADA Transit Subcommittee to the Transit & Parking Commission has vacancies right now for persons interested in serving.

The Subcommittee is Advisory to the Transit and Parking Commission. It is the duty of the Subcommittee to monitor compliance by Metro Transit in providing complementary paratransit and transit service in the Metro Transit service area in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and its implementing regulations.
