    Effective Sunday, December 7, the South Transfer Point is permanently closed. New bus stops are located one block north at Park and Hughes.

Now Hiring Bus Drivers

Metro Transit is now hiring for permanent full-time bus drivers. No experience necessary! We will train successful candidates on how to drive a bus and prepare you for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) test during our extensive training program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicant's driving record will be evaluated.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • All candidates will be required to pass the CDL Skills Test, administered by Metro Transit during training, as a condition of continued employment. Applicants do NOT need to have CDL prior to applying.
  • Ability to interact appropriately and courteously with patrons and maintain effective passenger and public relations. Ability to work effectively with multicultural communities.
  • Must meet certain physical requirements - i.e. ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to sit 4 to 8 hours at a time; ability to kneel, bend and lift, etc.
