Past Employee Voice Survey Accomplishments

Below you'll find some great things that came out of the previous Employee Voice Surveys. 

  • The Employee Check-In Process

    Where every full-time employee receives a check-in with their supervisor once a year was developed thanks to recommendations and feedback provided in the 2018 survey. 

  • #TeamCity Awards

    A process through which staff can nominate their coworkers for outstanding service to the community and work in their fields – was another great initiative to come from the Employee Voice Survey. 

  • Affinity Groups

    Affinity Groups at the City were another staff-led initiative put forth in the survey, put into action by employees like you, and made possible thanks to the City of Madison support. 

  • The Mentorship Program

    This program was initially piloted in 2023 and continues to grow. Learn more by visiting the Mentorship Program webpage linked above. 

  • MAC/WIC Peer Advisors

    Peer Advisors advised and supported City employees with workplace issues, including:

    • Disrespectful or unkind behaviors
    • Harassment and discrimination
    • Promotions and career advancement
    • Team dynamics and interpersonal relations

    This program is currently not active (2025).
