Project Update
7/21/2022 Update:
The Contractor has substantially completed all work on this project. There is a small section of sidewalk at the Hooker Ave & Steensland Dr bend that was gaped due to a utility pole that needed to be relocated. That section of sidewalk will be constructed in the coming weeks.

Project Overview
The Hooker Ave, Sheridan Dr, and Steensland Dr resurfacing project will include new asphalt pavement and spot replacement of curb & gutter, driveway aprons, and sidewalk as needed. New sidewalk will be constructed on the south side of Steensland Dr from where it ends mid-block to the bend at the Hooker-Steensland intersection. This new sidewalk will allow for off-street access to Sherman Ave from the nearby apartment buildings. No other new sidewalk is proposed with this project. Additional parking restrictions will also be implemented for the outside-edge of the Hooker-Steensland intersection for safety concerns. Furthermore, the project will include replacement of the underground utilities, including sanitary sewer main and sanitary laterals (up to property line) and replacement of storm sewer to improve street drainage.
