Advertisement of Bid for Normal Hall Roof Replacement was released on Friday, July 10, 2026.  RFB-15026-0-2026-0-2026/ARH is available only on VendorNet and Euna OpenBids (Demand Star) with construction to begin this fall 2026. 

Engineering is also set to release for bid a wood floor removal project this July. This work will allow assessment of existing framing members. Construction for this will begin once the new roof replacement is complete.

Project Overview

The scope of work for the Normal Hall at Olin Park Rehabilitation project includes, but is not limited to, the repair or replacement of deteriorated exterior wood in kind, painting, door repairs, and replacement of the wood joist floor with concrete flooring.

April 9, 2026 Update

Quarter 2 2026 Update
The rehabilitation project has been placed on hold.  

Due to an active roof leak, Engineering will bid a roof replacement project for construction during the fall of 2026.  This roof replacement scope was originally part of the rehabilitation project.  

Engineering may also bid a floor removal project to occur during the fall of 2026 to allow assessment of the existing framing members. 

February 12, 2026 Update

You're invited to a public meeting for the Olin Park Pavilion - Normal Hall - Rehabilitation project!

Parks and City Engineering staff will hold a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, March 4 @ 5:30 pm. They will provide information on the planned rehabilitation work for the Olin Park Pavilion – Normal Hall. The historic facility requires interior and exterior repairs, and we look forward to sharing further details on the efforts to preserve this landmark asset.
