Project Overview
This project will reduce and repair existing shoreline erosion adjacent to USH 151. This includes:
- Lowering the elevation of the existing overflow weir, this will increase the distance between the pond’s normal standing water and USH 151.
- Adding glacial riprap along areas of eroded shoreline to stabilize the slope. Riprap will be added approximately 2’ above the normal water elevation, above this elevation areas will be seeded with a native seed mix and stabilized with erosion control matting.
- Extending an existing storm sewer pipe and constructing a maintenance access path city, county and WDOT access.
This site includes existing chain link fencing installed and maintained by WisDOT. During construction this fencing will be removed and temporarily replaced with orange construction fencing. WisDOT and Dane County will reinstall the chain link fencing once construction is complete.
Construction access will be via North East Park as part of the Tancho Bike Path construction. For more information on the Tancho Bike Path Project webpage.
