Olin-Turville Ct and E. Lakeside Street Resurfacing

The contractor has completed street resurfacing and utility work for the southern half of the project on Olin-Turville Ct between the Olin Park boat launch parking lot and the Olin-Turville Ct/John Nolen Dr intersection.  They are now continuing street resurfacing and utility work on the northern half of the project on Olin-Turville Ct and E. Lakeside St between the Olin Park boat launch and E. Lakeside St/John Nolen Dr intersection. 

The contractor will be paving the northern half of the project next week Tuesday, October, 8th.  Access will continue to be maintained to properties and MSCR facilities on E. Lakeside St throughout paving, but some minor delay should be expected as crews work in this area.  Access to the Olin Park boat launch parking lot will remain from the southern Olin-Turville Ct/John Nolen Dr intersection.  After paving is complete, the contractor will be installing pavement markings and completing site restoration.

Starting Monday 9/9, the project contractor will mobilize on site to begin installation of project traffic control and temporary bike paths for pedestrian detour routes.  That same Monday night (9/9), starting at 6:30pm, the contractor will also be installing traffic control and temporary concrete barrier for the pedestrian detour route on John Nolen Drive and this night work will take approximately 7 hours to complete.  Please see previous press release here for more information: https://www.cityofmadison.com/news/2024-08-30/olin-turville-ct-and-e-lakeside-st-resurfacing-project

Following initial traffic control set up, resurfacing and utility work will begin on Olin-Turville Ct for the southern half of the project between the Olin Park boat launch and the southern intersection (Olin-Turville at John Nolen).  This work will take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete.  During this phase, access to properties on E. Lakeside St and the Olin Boat launch will be maintained via the northern intersection at E. Lakeside at John Nolen.
