Quarter 3 2026 Update
Potter Lawson and sub-consultants have been working with Engineering staff and Public Health Madison Dane County staff to work through the design of the interior spaces of the new health clinic. Each department in the clinic has been having focus meetings to provide critical feedback on the plans. Potter Lawson Architects will continue to coordinate clinic needs with the larger development design team so things like windows, doors, and site amenities are located properly and integrated for a cohesive design. The clinic design is currently in the design development phase.

Project Overview
Madison’s Community Development Authority is redeveloping the block at S. Park Street and W. Badger Road. This area is approximately four acres of City-owned property. The development will include multifamily housing, a new fire station and a new public health clinic. The public health facility will be approximately 30,000 – 35,000 square feet and be located on the first floor of a larger building. The estimated construction budget for the public health facility is $15M. Information about the overall project can be found on the Park Badger Redevelopment website.
The City has selected a local team of professionals to engage the community, create a shared master plan, and embark on this redevelopment. The team was selected through a public, competitive proposal process. The main goal is to redevelop this block in a way that supports the community and keeps it affordable.
