Solar Electric Installation

Installation of a roughly 46 kW solar photovoltaic system at the Madison Fire Department Station 7. The system will be ground mounted modules and will produce an estimated 60,000 kWh per year. The systems production will be split between Station 7 and the Madison Police Department West District Station next door. 25% of MFD Station 7’s and 19% of MPD West District Station’s electricity usage will be generated by the solar arrays. The array will be installed by the Engineering Division’s GreenPower program where trainees with little to no electrical skills are provide on-the-job training through solar installations on City buildings.
