UPCOMING PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING

Time: July 11th, 6:00 pm

Location: Thoreau Elementary School Library, 3870 Nakoma Road

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In 2017, the original stone arch culvert under the Southwest Bike Path at Waite Circle began to fail. In 2017, as a result of the impending failure, the arch was slip lined with a 60-inch culvert during an emergency repair.

This project will reconstruct the culvert to a size similar to that of the existing arch, with provisions to modify the opening size once the Wingra West Watershed Study is complete. The culvert reconstruction will occur in late 2019.

The City is hosting a public information meeting to discuss the components of the project, including the bike path detour that will occur during construction.  The presentation can be found: July 11 2019 Public Information Meeting Presentation.

As design drawing information is developed, it will be posted to this page.
