Update on Route A1 & B
As previously communicated, Metro is addressing a number of simultaneous mechanical issues affecting a portion of our fleet. While many of these are routine maintenance repairs, like doors, sensors, and cold-weather impacts, they require a concerted effort from staff and external vendors to address. We’re working hard to shore up our entire fleet not just for this week or next, but well into the future.
During this work, a select number of trips may be temporarily canceled to ensure safe and reliable service. If necessary, some trips on Route B may run every 30 minutes instead of every 15 minutes, and select trips on Route A1 may be reduced to hourly service to the Sun Prairie Park & Ride. Our goal is to limit disruption to the regular service schedule when possible. Please see Metro’s Route A1 and Route B schedules to see which trips may be affected by potential service disruptions.
Canceled trips are chosen to minimize disruption to riders, though we know every ride you’re counting on is an important one. We appreciate riders’ patience while this work is completed and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. In addition to checking the attached schedules, riders are encouraged to sign up for service alerts and use Metro’s bus tracker for the most up-to-date information.
