Project Overview
Installation of a roughly 40 kW solar photovoltaic system at the Madison Police Department East District Station roof. The system will produce an estimated 52,000 kWh per year. When combined with the building’s existing ground mounted systems, 85% of the building’s electricity usage will be generated by the solar arrays. The array will be installed by the Engineering Division’s GreenPower program where trainees with little to no electrical skills are provide on-the-job training through solar installations on City buildings.
