The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to from Friday morning to Tuesday morning. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00 a.m. on 5/24/2024 through 6:00 a.m. on 5/28/2024, MPD received 1,634 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (312),East (305), Midtown (277), North (283), South (173), West (250), and Other (34). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Priority calls only from 11:51am-3:09pm due to calls for service.

South/Adult Arrested Person – 8:34am: A 72-year-old male subjected, wanted, was taken into custody. The subject was transported to jail for disorderly conduct, possession of narcotics, felony bail jumping, and resisting.

East/Check Person – 10:54am: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject. MFD performed lifesaving measures and the subject was transported to a local hospital. Initial indications that this was a suicide attempt. The subject was admitted to the hospital.

North/Weapons Violation – 11:38am: A subject was in his vehicle when he was shot at by another subject in a separate vehicle. No injuries sustained. Investigation continuing.

East/Missing Adult – 3pm: A 25-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

West/Check Property – 3pm: Residents located window damage and a projectile in their home. Fired cartridge recovered. Areas canvassed. Investigation continuing.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 9:40pm: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a 21-year-old male subject (not on scene). Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Subject remains at-large.  

East/Intoxicated Driver – 9:57pm: Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash. A 66-year-old male subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. Injuries sustained.

West/Deceased Subject – 10:04pm: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject (69-year-old male). The subject was located deceased. Nothing suspicious located.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 1:03am: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and bail jumping (3 counts).

South/Sexual Assault – 2:25am: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

East/Intoxicated Driver – 1:11pm: Officers responded to a report of a 26-year-old male subject unresponsive in a vehicle. Naloxone was administered and the subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and bail jumping.

East/Domestic Disturbance – 1:46pm: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and bail jumping (3 counts). The subject will also be issued a stalking letter.

South/Missing Adult – 3:55pm: A 38-year-old female subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. Subject located safe.

Midtown/Weapons Offense – 4:31pm: Officers responded to a report of a firearm being pointed from a subject/vehicle to another subject/vehicle. Subjects detained. Two firearms recovered. An 18-year-old male subject and a juvenile were arrested. Charges included 2nd degree reckless endangering safety (and party to a crime), carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, and eluding.

North/Disturbance – 9:09pm: Officers responded to a report of a disturbance with a knife involving a 33-year-old female subject. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a medical clearance and ended up being admitted. Charges pending for domestic disorderly conduct while armed, criminal damage to property, and two counts of bail jumping.

Central/Disturbance – 9:09pm: Officers responded to a fight involving a 21-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.

Central/Disturbance – 9:55pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, disorderly conduct, resisting, disorderly conduct while armed, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 11:01pm: Officers responded to a report of a subject with a gun. A 19-year-old female subject was arrested for battery.

Central/Sexual Assault – 11:37pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. A 21-year-old male subject was arrested for 4th degree sexual assault, felony bail jumping, and misdemeanor bail jumping.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 11:57pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 20-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for resisting, discharge bodily fluids at a public safety worker (2 counts), and domestic disorderly conduct.

North/Crash – 12:12am: Officers responded to a report of an injury crash. A 20-year-old female subject/driver failed to yield and struck another vehicle/driver, who was transported to a local hospital with injuries. Open intoxicants were observed in the female driver's vehicle. Investigation continuing. Charges forthcoming.

Midtown/Domestic Disturbance – 1:07pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and a DOC hold.

South/Check Person – 5:35pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Subject contacted. EMS responded. The subject was transported to a local hospital.

East/Trespassing – 6:38pm: Officers responded to a trespassing complaint involving a 47-year-old female subject. The subject refused to leave when requested by officers. The subject was transported to jail to post on a trespassing municipal citation.  

West/Missing Adult – 7:26pm: A 30-year-old male subject was reported missing from his group home. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

East/Sexual Assault – 8:54pm: A victim reported being sexually assaulted. Investigation continuing.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 10:21pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 32-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic substantial battery, intimidation of a victim, domestic disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.

North/Drug Incident – 3:49am: Contact was made with a 29-year-old male subject. Marijuana and cocaine were located in the vehicle. The subject was arrested for possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

Central/Child Neglect – 5:45am: Officers responded to a local hospital for a child testing positive for cocaine. Child Protective Services took custody of the child. Investigation continuing.

East/Threats Complaint – 8:47am: Officers responded to a threats complaint at a business.  Contact made with an adult subject, who has the cognition of a young child, who admitted to writing the threat on the bathroom stall.  

North/Substantial Battery – 11:26am: Officers responded to a disturbance. The subject was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Emergency detention pending. Charges also forthcoming. Investigation continuing.

West/Death Investigation – 12:21pm: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (81-year-old female). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.

Central/Adult Arrested Person – 12:32pm: A 21-year-old male subject turned himself in for pending charges – stalking, domestic disorderly conduct, and 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.

Central/Disturbance – 1:51pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was cited for disorderly conduct.

East/Death Investigation – 4:09pm: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject in a heavily wooded area north of the 4200 block of Sycamore Avenue. Medical Examiner's office responded. Incident Report on MPD's website completed. Investigation continuing.

Central/Check Person – 5:51pm: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. Areas checked. Phone ping attempted. The 67-year-old female subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.

North/Substantial Battery – 11:26pm: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was transported to a local hospital where an emergency detention is being explored. Criminal charges also forthcoming. *Subject was subsequently transported to Winnebago.

North/Domestic Disturbance – 11:46pm: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 56-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping.

West/Child Abuse – 11:46pm: Officers responded to a report of child abuse involving a 32-year-old male subject. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Subject remains at-large.
