Credit card fraud

June 28, 2018 8:45 AM

As I was reading reports this morning, I have seen 3 separate cases of credit card fraud.  In each of these cases, the vicitm only realized their cards were being used because they reviewed their credit card statements.

if you are one of those people who trust that there is no reason to review your statement because your card is still in your possession, think again!  Scammers can get your card number in a variety of manners and clone your card to use even though the original is still in your wallet.

Be very careful in reviewing your statement each month.  If you suspect fraudulent activity, notify your financial institution immediately, cancel your cards and file a police report.
