Hello! My name is Officer Chelsea Wetjen, and I am the new Hammersley Park Ridge Neighborhood Patrol Officer. After earning a degree in Animal Science from Iowa State University, I worked as a supervisor in a yogurt factory. In 2014, I obtained my law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and was an Assistant District Attorney for three years.
I began my career with the Madison Police Department in 2017. While at MPD, I have worked primarily in the West District. Additionally, I am a member of the Special Events Team, a Constitutional Law Academy Instructor, a Domestic Violence Liaison, and an MPD Applicant Backgrounder.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my significant other and our three dogs, gardening, reading, and baking. I look forward to getting to know each of you, and furthering the positive relationship between our community and MPD.
