Zoning Verification Letters
There is a base fee of $100 per parcel for zoning verification letters from the City of Madison. The base fee includes:
- Zoning of a property
- Property use
- Floodplain status
- List of open enforcement cases on the property
Zoning verification letters including additional information beyond the listed cost $200 per parcel. Common additional information requests include:
- Zoning for adjacent property
- Whether the building can be rebuilt in the event of a casualty
- Site plans
The easiest way to request a Zoning Letter is to email us. Make sure you include the addresses/parcels and the information you need.
We will reply with your fee total and ways to pay. We will not process your request until we receive payment.
