- IT Service Center
- Use the IT Service Center for all requests to IT and also to view a complete library of knowledge-based IT how-to documents and more. 
- Skype
- If you need Skype on your machine, email helpdesk@cityofmadison.com. We use this for direct messaging, communication or online phone calls. 
- Outlook
- Outlook is the main way of communicating with office staff. If you have issues with your Outlook, email helpdesk@cityofmadison.com. Every permanent Engineering employee has an email, field and office staff. 
- Zoom
- City Engineering uses Zoom for regular meetings. General staff use basic, free accounts with a limited 45-minute meeting time cap. Engineering also has two upgraded accounts to use for public information meetings and bigger meetings. Email Hannah Mohelnitzky, hmohelnitzky@cityofmadison.com for access to the upgraded accounts. 
- Calendars
- Office staff is required to keep calendars up to date in Outlook. 
- New Software Request Policy
- Even existing City software can only be added to your computer with the approval of your supervisor. Please discuss your request with your supervisor prior to sending a request to the helpdesk@cityofmadison.com. When your supervisor agrees on the need for the software, send the request to the helpdesk@cityofmadison.com and copy your supervisor on the request. 
- New IT Hardware Purchase
- Requests for new hardware should be discussed with your supervisor. Once agreed upon, your supervisor will make the request to IT using the appropriate venue for that approach. 
- Connect to VPN
- When working remotely or not on the City network, to access City drives, folders and specific City-secure sites, you need to log onto the VPN. 
- Set Up Email on Mobile
- Learn how to set up City email on your mobile phone. 
- Engineering Downtown Viewer
- This tool can be used to learn where public utilities are located and is searchable by intersection or utility type.
