Far West Public Works Facility

Far West Public Works Facility

The proposed Far West Public Works Facility will enable agencies to efficiently provide city services to residents of the far west side, one of the fastest growing areas of the City. The primary functions of the facility will be to store vehicles and equipment for the Streets, Parks, and serve as a base of operations for Streets and Parks crews and administration staff. Fleet Services will also have a presence onsite, providing maintenance and repairs for City vehicles on the west side. Other functions external to the building could include a full-service waste drop-off site, fueling station, material storage and more. Preserving the environmental qualities of the site, and minimizing the visual, acoustical, and air quality impacts of the human activities occurring there, will be primary considerations.

The project is in the Pre-Design/Master-planning phase, which will establish an overall scope and estimate project costs for future budget decision-making.
