Janel Heinrich, Director  

 Provides administration, leadership, management, planning, and implementation of public health activities as they relate to health, consumer protection, and environmental protection. Also acts as liaison with other local, state and federal agencies.

The Community Health Division works to protect and improve the health of people and families by preventing disease, providing essential clinical and community-based services, and promoting healthy pregnancies, children, and communities.

The Environmental Health Division protects the health and safety of the community by reducing the environmental risks in which people live, learn, work, and play.

• Environmental Protection, including water quality testing and monitoring at local beaches, permitting, tracking and responding to non-storm wastewater dumping, and testing local water sources for mosquito larvae and monitoring for ticks and the illnesses they carry

Community Initiatives Division

The Community Initiatives Division partners with residents, organizations, healthcare systems, and other governmental agencies to improve community health and advance health equity.
