Phase 2 (Lakeside to Olin)
Phase Two of the project includes the segment from E Olin Ave to E Lakeside St and has been selected for funding and is expected to be constructed in 2028.
Phase Two (John Nolen Dr: E Olin Ave to E Lakeside St) will include the following improvements:
- Full pavement and curb & gutter replacement
- Lane width and cross-section changes to urbanize the roadway and provide traffic calming
- Reconstruction of storm sewer, including large catch basins for sediment/pollutant collection
- Improved traffic signals and street lighting
- Improvements to the E Lakeside St intersection to improve bike-pedestrian safety and accessibility, including shortened crossings and additional sidewalk
- Bridge structure wingwall repairs to Wingra Creek roadway bridge
