Course Description

​​Through this course you will learn about the disability, pregnancy, and religious accommodations process, how accommodations can assist both the employee and the organization as a whole and your role in the reasonable accommodation process. Accommodations help our employees, agencies, and organization meet our organization's Vision. (Inclusive, Innovative, and Thriving). Join us to learn how to better support our employees and move our organization towards excellence. 

This course is mandatory for all supervisors. 

We will be completing interactive activities and case studies as a group – please plan to attend in a way that you can interact with the facilitator and other participants.​

  1. Define what an accommodation is and have a basic understanding of laws related to accommodations.
  2. Know how and when to identify and refer an accommodation request.
  3. Articulate your role in the disability accommodations process.
  4. Gain strategies for creating a culture of accessibility within your team and agency.
