Dog Park Clean-up Day
Date: Last Saturday in March - 10am-noon
Location: Various City and County Dog Parks
This annual event takes place on the last Saturday of March. The goal of this event is to clean up local dog exercise parks in Madison and the surrounding communities. Six Madison Parks are included in the clean-up day: Warner, Quann, Sycamore, Brittingham, McCormick, and Demetral.
Volunteers will assist with tasks including spreading mulch, picking up litter, trimming around the fences, and scooping up dog poop. Each park will have a volunteer leader and will be provided bags and gloves. Some volunteers will bring their dogs during the day. Individuals and groups are all welcome to join.
Volunteers should fill out the on-line Volunteer Registration Form if they are interested in volunteering for Dog Park Clean-up Day, April 13, 2013.
Those hoping to serve a more significant role as a team leader to welcome and direct other volunteers should fill out the on-line Team Leader Application. We are currently looking to fill positions in Brittingham, McCormick and Demetral Parks. Team leaders will need to arrive at their location at 9:45am to receive materials provided by the City of Madison Parks Division.
