March 17, 2026 Update
Design is nearing completion and final plans are being reviewed. We
anticipate MG&E to begin work within the next few months ahead of the start of construction on this project. They will be undergrounding large portions of their electric lines and moving gas mains to improve reliability and make room for the street improvements. Because of this, the tentative start date for this project has been pushed to July 2026 and the project will not be fully completed until 2027. When we have a solid start date, we will send out
letters to all residents with that information along with more details about construction.

The project includes full pavement reconstruction, new curb & gutter, new sidewalk, new storm sewer, replacement of sanitary mains and laterals in select areas, and replacement of water main in select areas.

January 12, 2026 Update
Happy new year and thank you to everyone who participated in the project approval process before the holidays. The Transportation Commission, Board of Public Works, and Common Council have approved this project and the design team is busy preparing the plans and specifications. The scope of the project has expanded to include storm sewer replacement on Mohican Pass, but this work will not be assessed. We anticipate the design process will be completed and that the project will be placed for contractor bids by this spring. Over the next few weeks I will be reaching out to specific residents to acquire rights of entry so that the contractor has enough space to work, so please keep an eye on your inbox.
