Quarter 3 2025 Update
Construction is complete. However, Parks and the contractor are working through some issues with the installed door hardware. Your patience is appreciated.  The adjacent splash pad installation is a separate project. Visit the project's Flickr page for completed and progress photos.

Quarter 2 2025 Update
Construction is wrapping up. Restroom fixtures have been installed, mechanical systems are operational, and the final painting is underway.  Visit the project's Flickr page for progress photos.

Quarter 1 2025 Update
The construction progressed quickly – new concrete slabs were poured, new concrete block walls were constructed, plumbing and electrical were roughed-in, walls were insulated and furred for exterior siding, and windows and doors were installed.  The contractor is thinking that the project will be complete Q1 of 2025.

Quarter 4 Update
Construction is ongoing.  The contractor is preparing the site to start the construction of the new walls and floor slabs. The installation of underfloor piping is underway.

Joe Daniels Construction Co., Inc. has set up construction area fencing and the removal of walls has begun.  Three existing walls will be removed and reconstructed to accommodate a new interior layout which will include 4 gender neutral accessible toilet rooms.  The majority of the open air shelter will remain usable during construction, but the shelter restrooms are closed.  Please use the temporary toilets that are provided near the shelter.

The contract with Joe Daniels Construction Co., Inc. has been finalized and work on the restroom project will begin in late summer after the Capitol City Band season. In the meantime, Joe Daniels Construction Co., Inc. and City Engineering will review submittals, obtain permits, and plan for mobilization.

This project's bid due date was on March 07, 2024. Three bids were received and results can be found on the Bid Opening Tab March 07 2024. 
Legistar File #82485 Awarding Public Works Contract No. 9485, Rennebohm Park Shelter Restroom Renovation will go to the Board of Public Works on March 20, 2024 and City Council on April 16, 2024.

A reminder that the first of two Pre-Bid Building/Site Contractor Meetings will be held next Thursday, Feb. 8th @ 1:00 p.m. at the project site, 115 N. Eau Claire Ave., Madison, WI.
