City staff are currently engaging with stakeholders to design plans for 2002 Zeier Road for use as an emergency shelter to serve men experiencing homelessness. Current intended plan is to complete design in spring, construction in summer, and occupancy in early fall.

Project Overview

This project is the design and construction of an emergency shelter for men experiencing homelessness. There site will include parking for vehicles and bikes, and space for bus drop off and pick up. The building will include spaces for a welcome and check-in process, social and eating activities, hygiene (i.e. restrooms and showers), and rooms for quarantine, isolation, and recovery. There will also be support spaces for offices for the third party operator, small meeting rooms, and storage for staff and guests.
