Bringing Your Best Self to Work, and Why it Matters
This training will explore the impact of wellness for employees in their personal and professional lives, discuss the benefit of reducing stress, increasing mental and physical health, improving work satisfaction and productivity, and to explore often overlooked areas of how stress can impact work units. Wellbeing looks different for each person, as it encompasses physical, emotional, spiritual, financial, intellectual, and social aspects. Further, working with the public can sometimes be challenging, increasing an employee’s stress response, which can present personal and professional challenges if left unaddressed. In this workshop we will identify ways employees can increase their resiliency at work. This presentation will provide a variety of resources, science-based discussions, and specific skills for employees to combat work stress, increase personal wellbeing, and better understand their own inherent resilient qualities that empower them to bring their best self to work.
