Project Information
Overview
This project will connect Atticus Way and Red Arrow Trail with a new street. This will be a continuation of a private development project. The project will include removal of any existing pavement, new sidewalk on both sides of the proposed street, new asphalt pavement street, and new storm sewer infrastructure.

July 8, 2025 Update
The construction of Rolling Way (connection of Atticus Way and Red Arrow Trail) is complete.
June 13, 2025 Update
MG&E has completed the removal and replacement of two poles, and overhead utilities have been relocated. The Contractor will continue with the grading, concrete work (sidewalk and curb & gutter), placement of gravel base, paving and terrace restoration.
April 4, 2025 Update
The Atticus Way construction project is scheduled to begin the week of April 14, 2025 and should be completed by late May 2025.
The City of Madison has awarded the contract to Speedway Sand & Gravel, Inc.
The City Inspector, Chris Horst, chorst@cityofmadison.com, 608-261-9972 will be the best on-site contact throughout construction work.

August 14, 2024 Update
The City awarded the Atticus Way project to Speedway Sand & Gravel Inc. Construction is anticipated to begin Spring 2025.
March 8, 2024 Update
The design team presented the project at the Board of Public Works on March 6, 2024. The Board approved the plans, specifications and assessments.
