Municipal Guidance for E-Devices
E-bikes, e-motos, and other e-micromobility devices are becoming more common across the country and throughout the Greater Madison region. As their popularity grows, state and federal regulations have struggled to keep pace—leaving many communities with questions about safety, definitions, and where these devices can legally operate.
The Greater Madison MPO developed guidance to help municipalities navigate these emerging technologies. It provides clear definitions and practical recommendations to support safe, consistent, and regionally aligned regulation of e-devices.

Pathways to 2050: Get Involved
We're beginning work on Pathways to 2050, the region's long-range transportation plan that will help guide transportation investments over the next 20–30 years.
As part of the process, we'll be asking for public feedback on the transportation investments and priorities that matter most to you.
A public survey will be available in the coming weeks, and the first public involvement meeting will be offered at two different days/times:

RoundTrip Spring Roll Challenge Recap
In honor of Earth Month, RoundTrip Greater Madison hosted its third annual Spring Roll Challenge in April, encouraging people across Dane County to swap drive-alone trips for biking, taking the bus, carpooling, walking, and rolling.
It was our biggest challenge yet, with more than 430 participants logging a combined 11,132 sustainable trips throughout the month. Together, participants avoided nearly 23 tons of carbon dioxide emissions—the equivalent of keeping 2,576 gallons of gasoline from being burned—while also saving more than $14,400 in gas and vehicle costs.
